What Can You Expect from Our Experience?
- We are a professional and experienced group with over 25 years of expertise in the healing art of Ayahuasca. Our primary goal is for participants to reach higher levels of consciousness, self-awareness, wisdom, and spirituality. We view Ayahuasca as a sacred medicine that serves as a mirror to your consciousness, guiding you toward deeper healing. At our Ayahuasca Retreat, we create an environment where participants can benefit fully from this powerful Ayahuasca experience. Our core values are humility, compassion, and love.
- From the moment you contact us via WhatsApp or email, we provide full support, including guidance on diet and potential interactions with any existing medical conditions or medications. Our Ayahuasca Retreat ensures participants have direct access to our Western doctor through WhatsApp, providing a safe and informed experience. Typically, these instructions are given 1-2 weeks before the Ayahuasca ceremony.
- The Ceremony takes place in Guarne, a forested area just 38 kilometers (45 minutes) from Medellín. This makes our Ayahuasca Retreat in a convenient option for those who prefer not to travel deep into the jungle. On the day of the experience, our shuttle service can pick you up at your home at 7:30 am (for an extra $10).
- You will arrive arround 8:15 am, where you’ll be welcomed by our shaman, who will provide an introduction to the experience and its spiritual and consciousness-enhancing effects. Participants will have the chance to ask questions and clarify any doubts about what you will experience inside your self. Alternatively, we can arrange pickup from a specific location in a meeting point Medellín.
- We then prepare the place where you’ll experience the Ayahuasca ceremony. The first cup of Ayahuasca is served at 9:15 am, with a second optional cup at 12:30 am for those who haven’t fully connected or feel the experience is superficial. At our Ayahuasca Retreat, our support staff and shaman will supervise you throughout the ceremony. The effects of the medicine last between 4 and 8 hours, depending on the participant’s sensitivity.
- Afterward, we facilitate an integration session, allowing participants to reflect and ask questions about their Ayahuasca experience. You’ll be offered a vegetables broth (optional) to replenish fluids and electrolytes. Once you feel ready, a spiritual closure will take place with a plant called guayra, used to cleanse energy and close spiritual channels.
- In the evening, we gather around a bonfire for further integration. A light meal is served at 7:00 pm, after which you’re free to rest at your own pace.
What Can You Expect from Our Experience?
( Second Day )
- On the second day, the Ayahuasca healing ceremony begins around 8:00 pm with the first cup of Ayahuasca, following a similar process to the first day. This 2-day experience is part of our Ayahuasca retreat, recommended for those dealing with deep emotional issues, significant trauma, or a desire to deepen their spiritual journey. Our approach ensures a safe Ayahuasca retreat environment that prioritizes participant well-being and supports deep healing.
- After the experience, we return to Medellín around 5 or 6 pm. Please note that our Yagé is stronger than that used in many other retreats, and usually, two days of experience are enough for effective healing within our Ayahuasca healing retreat setting.
- Additionally, if you wish, you’ll have the option to experience rape, sacred plants from the Amazon known for their spiritual and consciousness-enhancing effects, adding depth to your journey in our safe Ayahuasca retreat.
Ayahuasca Retreat Colombia
- However, if you’re interested in experiencing a spiritual Ayahuasca retreat for several days, we can arrange a 2- or 3-day retreat. It’s important to note that the medicine is stronger in our retreat compared to others, which is why we limit the experience to 1, 2, or a maximum of 3 days. For us, it’s not necessary to have 5 or 7 days like in other places.
The experience with Rhape
- You will also have the optional opportunity to experience the ancestral medicine Rapé, which is entirely optional and holds spiritual properties.
- Rapê (pronounced ha-peh) is a sacred medicinal snuff used in traditional Amazonian shamanic practices, particularly by indigenous tribes like the Yawanawá, Nukini, and Huni Kuin. It is made by grinding various plants, seeds, and ashes, often including sacred tobacco (mapacho), into a fine powder. The mixture is then blown into the nostrils using a specific applicator, either self-administered (kuripe) or administered by another person (tepi).
Spiritual and Medicinal Purposes
-
Rapé is considered ancestral medicine because it has been used for centuries in indigenous rituals and healing practices. Its purposes often include: Spiritual alignment, Cleansing, Focus and grounding, Healing
Daytime Ayahuasca Ceremony
- Our shaman prefers to conduct the experience during the day, as it is less traumatic for the patient and allows for greater peace and tranquility. The experience begins at 8 am, with an introduction to the medicine by the shaman, followed by the first cup at 9 am. A second cup (optional) is offered at 11:30 am, and the ceremony continues until around 4 or 5 pm. We advise participants to keep the entire day free for the best experience. Lodging is available if you’re not ready to return to the city afterward.
Meeting point
- We depart close to the North Bus Station (300 meters from Terminal del Norte) in the city of Medellín, or from your hotel or home if you prefer. After the ceremony, we return participants to the starting point or their home, between 5 and 6 pm, in our personalized shuttle service.
